    If a logo doesn't appeal to the target market, then it fails. No?

    A logo can appeal to a target market and outlast current design trends. If you're competing in a ultra trendy space, then it is going to be easier said than done. Is it important that the logo last for a year? Two years? A decade?

    A lot depends on what the logo is for. You mention music. Is it for an artist, a label, a record shop or an equipment manufacturer?
