How did you translate all the ableton files into something you could jam on the Octa?
Did you strip down to 8 channels then just loads the loops into the 8 octa channels then the other stuff is just midi synced?
interested to know.
- I basically broke tracks down into 3 -5 summed stems.. so all drums in 1, main sections in their own partautoflavour
- basslines, leads and drums, all summed into mostly 32 bar loopsautoflavour
- most tracks were played for about minute and half or so.. then moved into the next track.autoflavour
- i plan to get more complicated with the mixing parts, but with the time available, this was the easiest solutionautoflavour
- i really only had 6 channels, not 8.. channel 8 was the master and channel 4 was set to be a loop recorderautoflavour
- as for midi sync, the tt303 is just running in standard sync and playing its own patterns..autoflavour
- and the Virus Snow i was just using as an effects unit, which is kind of overkill, but without a laptop, you gotta do with what you haveautoflavour
- you have at hand.. also the Atomizer on the Snow is pretty fun liveautoflavour
