    FMT = Friday Music Time

    Back in the NT days, it was really just people posting single mp3/wav/rm links to songs for fun on Friday afternoons (time zone dependent of course). At some point after the QBN switch, it became about sharing links to leaked albums and such, and began starting earlier on Thursdays even (although this was probably time zone influenced as well). Hasn't been going as strong in the last year or two due to the attention that QBN gets on google searches leading to takedown notices, as well as the continued withering of the QBN community after registrations were closed.

    Over the years I've had the pleasure of discovering so much great music through the curation of FMT. Would love to know the music blogs that some contributors frequent (ukit!).

    • I think people have gotten lazy and moved to Rdio, Spotify, Etc. where they don't posses/own anything...ideaist
    • Said services take care of organization, album art, etc. etc. etc. which we all know is a full-time job...ideaist

    • To be honest, I think the fall off has less to do with takedown notices or lack of people hereukit2
    • and more to do with perhaps my laziness :) along with the fact that other people who used to post heavily in FMT no longer doukit2
    • longer do. But ideaist deserves the credit for keeping it going week after week :)ukit2
    • Indeed, thanks ideaist!nato
