    I'm sorry but any movie that is dependent upon a certain technical set-up (which I hear people saying quite frequently) doesn't reach the "great movie" level for me. As an audio-visual experience, okay great, that's nice and I can respect that for what it is, an A/V accomplishment. Take Solaris for example, another George Clooney in space movie, excellent A/V but with that you've got a deep emotional and spiritual journey beyond the special effects that sticks with you (at least it did for me). Great movie.

    Reminds me of when I was in my Bob Dylan discovery phase in college and my roommate would say "how can you stand his voice"... well his voice and the shitty recording don't matter, its good music and good poetry.
