I think there is a way to do digital effects in a more classy, less videogame-y way. This movie looks like a made for tv movie because everything is so goofy and over the top. Camera swinging around in absurd angles and speed. The difference between a director with a classy high quality vision, and whatever hack they hired to make this pos.
Whoever this guy is, he, zack snyder and michael bay all probably jack off with each other to movies with awful over the top mind numbing sfx. Chris Nolan used sfx too, but they looked pretty normal , even when crazy things were going on like that flying thing in dark knight rises. It was done well because the guy controlling it isnt making movies on his computer.
