I cant see laptop making a resurgence like Analogue has anytime soon. I can still remember back in 2001 when I first watched Jan Jelinek/Farben play his live set from an G4 Powerbook and a midi controller..

everyone in the audience was a bit speechless that he was able to do what he did just using a laptop..

a few years later, it was so common place that it was almost considered cheating if you were JUST using a laptop.. regardless if it was your own music or not..

then it kind of normalised with serato and once dj's got over their vinyl purism.

Analogue fetishism has always been there, its just lately with the prices of original gear increasingly becoming more and more expensive, the kids want techno.. and companies like Korg and Akai are listening..
