Hargbine, anytime. That last robert reich piece was good.
Id like to add a '4th' bullet to his and go so far as to say that our govt and its cohorts have spent alot of time , money, and effort into making the general mass of people here believe that they (govt) are the ones keeping the bad guys out, and helping to make tomorrow possible. Its kind of like the strategy of tension. you put people in fear first, then you come to their rescue.
He's right though, the american people need something to care about. Yes, youd think things like net neutrality, GMO, spying, war crimes, govt shutdowns, banking etc would rattle the cage enough, but most of the US has been deprived of actual truth for so long that they almost dismiss it.
Those who start to learn or already know become cynical like he said. Then we have things like shootings every now and then, that are poised as 'oh this guy hated society', and they end up dead, so who wants to rebel when the result is in front of you ? (so to speak).
I do hope one day soon that we wake up though.

    • Hey, Cheerios doesn't have GMO's anymore. I call that progress! We care! :-)formed
