Meanwhile the internet will rant on how stupid Apple are. QBN will laugh and hate on this new product. The media will write positive reviews, which will only drive the internet nerds into further madness.
Meanwhile normal people in real life will go "cool" and maybe buy one, or not, either way it will be popular and pocket Apple money as per usual.
Elsewhere Samsung throw all kinds of random product releases at the wall nearly every other week, each with multi-million dollar marketing budgets. Though no-one bats an eye and they are the good guys for some reason.
Rinse and repeat for 2015.
