Hype is intensifying with this thing. We've seen the videos on YouTube of people using the Dev Kits, but recently some game developers have tested the latest prototype and are saying it's amazing, putting it right next to the Apple II, the web, Google, the iPhone...
John Carmack left id Software recently to work full time on Oculus as the CTO.
They got a 2nd investment round from Marc Andreessen (Netscape) VC firm of 75 million dollars (they got 2.5 million on Kickstarter, then 16 million, and now 75 million more).
