    a process continually in flux and unpredictable that changes with real demands, expectations of people like CEOs, &c and information based on fact. it may be hollow to some, certainly isn't to me.

    research can be a real thing—like ensuring it doesn't align with another brand which could cause confusion, or doing something that was done 10, 20, 30 yrs ago. Knowing your audience so you can stand out, &c.

    i always start loose with lots of conversations and information, narrowing it down as deadlines approach. refine, refine, refine.

    i could be more vague.
