I know people have hated on the Xbox's internals, but anyone who has had both the 360 and the PS3 and needed to repair them will understand why the power brick NOT being inside is a good thing.

It took about 15mins to take apart a 360, and around 45mins for a PS3, not to mention it being a nightmare to remember where all the damn screws went back etc. The PS3 was a terrible design for repairs and despite the 360 having RROD, there was A LOT more support on fixing that yourself than the YLOD problem PS3's had.

In short, I've still not made up my mind on what to get, and we SHOULDN'T have to one day fix our own consoles...just we all know the time will come. Plus, Xbox = JTAG etc? Sony = ......yeah.....

    • trikes me that a) most people will get a pro to fix it and b) a better-designed system will break less.detritus
    • 'strikes' obviously.detritus
    • "Better design system less break issues" in theory yes, but Sony are the more likely to fail with the hardware reguarding the specs.sem
    • -regarding how much they have crammed in there.sem
    • The RROD was a disaster and was expensive to MS. They don't want to repeat that mess.ernexbcn
    • really? the way that the internal components is a factor now? you are kidding right?Miguex
