Further to my post about Android sticks. I was using an unbranded one I got from a market for about 6 months for £30 and it worked great. I've switched back to using a full-powered laptop as I use it for gaming now.
The one I had was from the low end of the spectrum and it worked very well with my movie collection (mostly 720p MKV) but struggled on most 1080p movies. I can't vouch for Netflix as I don't use it.
