brand's speech is completely on-point, but i don't see bit coin as being the solution.

to be perfectly honest, the paradigm shift he's calling for wouldn't be too far from the current system, if (speaking from america's way of doing things currently) the tax system was radically modified, campaign finance completely restrictive and term limits were given to congressional representatives.

with those three steps you'd eradicate greed as a motivator for public service, bolster the middle class and appease the idea that the american dream needs to be centered in capitalism.

i can't, for one, believe the uproar nationwide (though probably bolstered by the media) for taxing the rich by an extra 1%.

i say have a standard tax structure as it exists, but increase the upper margins (let's say, affecting the top 5% of wealth) to a 40 - 50% levy. if you make $5 million a year and can't "get by" on 2.5, then you're an asshole.

on top of that, we'd have much fewer longstanding military endeavors and work with nations instead of bullying the world.

that all being said, i'm much more in favor of a massive change to the basic structure of society and creating a socialist ideal in america than being in support of a simple modification to capitalism.
