Also Banksy is definitely one guy, he has a history of graf and street art. Its just that these days he makes enough to hire help and art production assistants. He has PR people, an agent, they don't all know who he is though. He functions and works like any other high profile artist just more secretively. A friend of miine said his assistants went into a graf/ painting store and bought a bunch of stuff.
He sells his work privately through art dealers, makes a lot I'm sure. I'm pretty sure he gets a part of the Exit Through the GIftshop Window movie. Does he have merchandise? I don't know I doubt it. This whole NYC thing just makes his profile bigger and his art, his brand, more valuable.
Just saying because there seems to be some confusion about it.
