Saw this movie yesterday, and it is very excellent. I think that imax and 3D both have their proper place, and that this director used them masterfully. I'd definitely recommend seeing it Imax 3D.
I read a couple critiques I agreed with which said the only slight flaw is the screenplay. There are just a couple of lines in the movie that are almost cringe-worthy. But given the effectiveness of the direction, the positively GRIPPING suspense, and the immensity of the experience, I think it's easily forgiven.
GO SEE IT.
