If you can afford to, have a separate/special room in the house that is no man's land. A room where either, or both, of you can go to escape the pressures of the marriage, the daily grind of making marital decisions together. This is where you can come to dream, remember, and escape. When you are in that room you are not in Marriage Inc. You are two free agents. 'The Marriage/Relationship' is not allowed in there. In there, it does not exist. It's nice to have that bolthole.
