PM puts me in contact with an internal client—via email fwd:—who needs a bunch of digital assets done by tomorrow, thus assigning me the 24hr turnaround without my consent, and forgets to forward attachments. I politely ask for attachments, which she can't send, so she tells me to ask the client myself. I reply to the client with a request for the attachments and a polite note that I have plans tonight and deadlines tomorrow so, is Monday acceptable?5:24pm. Client responds with more details about the project she forgot to send the first time. I reply with a thanks, and, would Monday be okay, since I am about to leave the office and I have deadlines on other projects tomorrow. She replies with yet another attachment, ignoring my question again. It's closing on 5:45, I have to be somewhere in a few minutes. I reply that I'll have something for her to review on Monday, and that tomorrow I'm working on my pre-existing project deadlines.
(By the way, I've never fucking met this person, and her name is spelled with y where it normally would be an i)
9:05pm. I'm already home, kinda trashed from the congratulatory drinks thing I had told the client I was going to a couple of times, and my work phone buzzes and it's the client with another email. It goes like this:
Hi Ben,
I hope you're enjoying your dinner vs reading this... I forgot to include a link to our event site (she actually put in a legit link) — which ***** *******'s team approved, so if you can use the same head shots in a similar way that might be the easiest design for the " 2 - First Post" image. Also, the ******* *** **** (another legit link) article that ran in *** News yesterday will explain a bit more about the event -- make sure you click the button to add the event to your calendar! ;o)
