It's interesting this hasn't gotten a response yet. As a self-described moderate and political cynicist, I'm seeing a real quagmire among the left when it comes to stories like this, NSA leaks, drones, IRS manipulations, etc.
where did all the rage go? Is it because most liberals (I don't think i'm assuming too much by asserting that here) voted for the guy and any associative wrong-doing is too much to admit/call-out?
Let me come clean. I voted for Bush in 2004.
I defended his actions w/ inaction for a long time too. I'm sorry. I've repented. It feels good to not be saddled into defendeding decisions you're against for four years based on a vote you made one day.I think his has all kinds of 'grey' around it.
We all work in structures (agencies, firms, clients) where you don't just go big air and address personal concerns with the CCO/CEO. There's a leveled-management ladder.Then again, maybe that's just set up to appease guilt in lower-ranking officers, and - as the video suggests- it never sees the public light (soldier gets what he wants / govt. gets what they want). Maybe he saw the beaurocracy for what it was and did what he had to do?
Either way - this is a good subject and I think it's okay to speak out against policies you disagree with - the alternative not being a point for the team you really don't like.
