Yea im pretty sure that old of a machine with a stock card wont get the max resolution of the monitor. Probably better off with a cheaper 1920x1200 display
- That machine was designed to drive a 30" ACD or two.raf
- yea but what is the resolution of the 30". I honestly dont know what card the 2006 has but id speculate it might be a 256-512mb card with res at 1920x1200deathboy
- 256-512MB card with max res at 1920x1200deathboy
- personally i dont liek the cinemas. I dont know if it jsut me but i cant stop staring at that weird dot texture pattern on themdeathboy
- ACD 30" - 2560x1600, even early MacBooks Pro drive them easily.raf
- Resolution is not a problem, connector is. Easy to connect a new laptop to old display thanraf
- ...old computer to Thunderbolt Display.raf
- I had 2011 MB Air wih just 384 MB Video RAM drive a 30" ACD with ease (needs dual-DVI connector though)raf
- Looked it up a 7300 gt can go 2560x1600 with a dual dvi. 1920x1200 with a single. If that is the card should be gooddeathboy
- you were right. my bad. but damn adaptors are priceydeathboy
