every time i sneeze someone says, "bless you" in some kind of arcane superstitious practice. i then feel obligated to say "thank you", despite not wanting to have anything to do with it.

if i don't, i then feel like an asshole, like i'm ignoring them by refusing to play along.

if i do say thanks, i feel like a tool parroting back a response to something i don't even care about or believe in.

no matter what i do, this whole stupid internal argument takes place in my head where i'm forced to decide which i want to be, asshole or tool.

worse still, i always sneeze in threes, and they say "bless you" after every single one. at least let me finish!
