Pointing out that situations could be handled more diplomatically that outright accusing someone of ripping you off just because you notice they have a similar domain name. Is hardly picking a fight. Showing someone that they do not actually "own" a business name unless it is registered or trademarked is educational, not argumentative. When I say diplomatic i men, how bout instead of an aggressive Fuck you man I cannot believe you ripped my domain name! to a more subtle, wow! I just noticed that your domain name is almost identical to mine.. Crazy what a coincidence, have you ever seen my site?
The mentioning to bug I had not noticed him before was not some weak attempt at inciting a popularity contest, just a statement of fact. I have not "noticed" him. His argument has been that somebody came on the board, got them selves a membership, happened to notice him, check out his site, than was so filled with stupidity the ran out registered the similar domain , then posted in the same thread he did, so that he could notice. While entirely possible, it seems unlikely.
As for depressed girl. reread the posts. I originally only tried to help the girl who was seemingly very depressed, and suggesting that she may do harm to herself. When I noticed that up until my post the only responses to hers were along the lines of "send us nude pics"etc.. All I did there was try to point her in the direction of newsgroups and phone lines that could actually help her with her problem. I can hardly help it if she decided to take that in a negative light. I still stand by the suggestion. I never told her at any point that she could not post, or anything of the sort. Only that this would not be such a great place to get help for any “real” problems. Quite honestly I did not expect such a nasty reaction from just trying to help someone.
