What I understood from investigating this is that this bill was to prevent spurious law suits against the big M, by various entities - including, but not limited to, its rivals who could previously have used the law so that the M. research was shut down *while* the investigation was ongoing, not after. I realise I'm putting my head above the trench here, but I'd rather see Monsanto fought by people that can understand the nuances of law and not just knee-jerk 8th-grade reactionary reporting. That, will just hinder any effective opposition to their nefarious hegemony.
