  Technology used to feel limitless.

  Today, it feels more limited than ever in the form of Apple OSX & iOS; lack of customization, flexibility, etc. etc. etc...

  These limits are hardly lessened on any platform as technology appeals to the masses (consumers) rather than specializing more to any given audience; I guess this is where applications (or apps) come in.

  Personally, I'd love to see a community-driven, open source OS capable of emulating applications built for all OS cross device. I guess that is the goal of HTML5?

  The "golden years" of technology seem to have come & gone.
