To think, the Syrian situation started over one14 year old boy. It's now escalated to the point where thousands have paid the ultimate price, and direct military intervention by another nation. Don't forget, Syria was a potential target before their civil conflict. It wouldn't surprise me if hawks used Israel to get a foot in the door, given that the current administration doesn't support direct action.
