  They aint shifting genres. There are claims that their stuff is "groundbreaking" because they are using real instruments and real singers in their songs and using more analogue gear.
  That is all.
  They have the marketing budget to make this seem like what they are doing is more impressive than putting a man on the moon.

  A friend went for a preview listening of the new album.
  He's a Daft Punk fan.
  His reaction was "Meh."
