Adobe CS7 actually has this feature. It will be able to automatically determine the context of any image you have input into indesign and adjust the data around it accordingly. They showed off one feature where a childrens book was laid out with illustrations accompanying the written word. Swapping the illustrations out with a new embedded file automatically re-wrote the text content to match the new illustration.

In another example, they show how you can write an adjective next to an image—say, for example, a vector image of a dog—and it alters the image accordingly. Placing the word "blue" in a text field next to the dog would change the dog blue. The fire hydrant stays red.

    Breathtaking stuff, people.
