You cant possibly blame the government. They cannot have people patrolling every single inch of every city every second of the day. Its not realistic. If someone is determined to kill people, they will do so regardless of security measures, gun laws, whatever... they cant be completely stopped.
This is whats hilarious to me when people talk about ways to fix this. Um.... YOU CAN'T FIX CRAZY PEOPLE! Period. No laws will stop them, no metal detectors, no bomb sniffing dogs, nothing. When someone has an agenda and becomes determined or loses their mind like the Newtown kid, do you really think its possible to stop all of them from doing what they are so hell bent on doing? Hell no. All you can do is try to minimize it, try to stop it before it happens which sometimes works, sometimes it doesnt.
