All you need to do to alleviate fears like this is examine your close family history, particularly who died of what disease (there's no such thing as old age...).
If your great/grand/parents mostly died from cancer, then I'm afraid the books show that you'll probably succumb to it too. Genetics are the single biggest factor in determining if you'll get something like this, way ahead of smoking or lifestyle.
So, that's bad and good - you had just as well go ahead and live the fun lifestyle that trying to prevent cancer stops you from enjoying - smoking, smoked processed meats, more smoking, boozing, etc etc. You're unlikely to be able to change your death cause from cancer to something else just by trying to cheat the system.
Similarly if your family history is that of heart disease/cholesetrol/hypertension... you'd just as well go ahead and eat what you like and not exercise - you're probably going to have that cascade of illnesses and get it all anyway.
All in all, in the words of that crap song - enjoy yourself, it's later than you think, whatever you want to do, do it, you're not going to get another chance. Be advised of course that if you eat yourself up to 500lbs, then it makes your life miserable, and you can't do the things you want, and smoking reduces your enjoyment of other things too, like exercise and eating, and sleeping and being addicted to a stupid flaky dried plant substance, which is expensive and not particularly pleasurable.

    • yes it's pleasurable,......wa... are we talking about?ApeRobot
