Personally, these explorations come off as relatively amatuer in execution: the mish-mash of type, the weird swirl, bad kerning.

The word tink itself is, simply put, far more compelling than any of the solutions you've proposed. Can you get away with a well type-set logotype? The swirl communicates absolutely nothing to me personally.

A clean modern sans-serif that has a sense of style? Futura can be quite fashionable, but not in the way you're using it. I would ditch the other typefaces completely. The K sticks out like a sore thumb and the N looks wrong.

    • swirl = record spinningoey
    • This N is not the one I like at all. Totally looks wrong. like condensed. the kerning i understand what you mean.oey
    • client doesn't want to spend money on typeface. only type logo is out of question for him.oey
    • my association when I listen to vinyl records is not swirling, but robust, rich audiod_rek
    • mish mash of type? like the cpompany's name mixed with the futura?oey
    • he says also it can't be just tink because tehre's a lot of tinks nowadays.oey
    • sore thumb. i don't know if i cry or laugh.oey
    • i like the way you put things. i'm not happy at all. not with myself. not with the logo. not with the direction.oey
