It would have been one thing if they had actually insulted her in some way, but from what I read they were just making some kind of joke that she overheard. The name of her site suggests she's the kind of person who has a chip on her shoulder about this kind of stuff.
Anyway, first world problems. My guess is everyone involved will land on their feet due to the huge attention they are now getting.
