How does something like this feel? Just a quick, rough example.
I want the overal logo/name to have something that draws a connection to an expedition (hence the triangle / flag) or photography from around the world, and that made me think of a globe, then a wireframe globe. I'm actually going to be using a mapping plugin to track locations; not that that necessarily creates a connection between the two. The globe sort of has a connection to Bureau when I think of old news organizations from the 50s, 60s.
