some of the demos today reminded me of the feeling i had waaaay back when we were being wowed by the next-level awesomeness of the PS2...
specifically i remember seeing the kessen demo as it was a launch title that was meant to blow minds... if i recall it was all about the PS2 finally allowing for hundreds of random things to be happening at once in a scene thanks to the raw power. anyway i remember kessen melting my face, and i got it right away of course, one of my first games for it.
- I bought the PS2 on launch and though Kessen was a gigantic turd (yes I bought the thing)ernexbcn
- If you had a Dreamcast and bought a PS2 on launch you were going to be disappointed a LOTernexbcn
- PS2 took over a year after launch to be decent, Dreamcast was killed by Sony hype machine with PS2ernexbcn
- yes dreamcast was the shit, still have it and play jet set, crazy taxi, etc.. that says something.prophetone
- and yeah kessen was a bummer after about 10 minsprophetone
