also something i realized after becoming vegetarian was most of the things i ate with meat, it wasnt the meat i was eating it for..

    it was the flavors..

tandoori chicken.. it doesnt matter if its chicken or tofu.. it still tastes like tandoori..

same with a bunch of things.

and before you carnivores start foaming at the mouth about how tofu doesnt taste anything like meat.. dont bother.
i know that .. its tofu.. not meat.

meat tastes like flesh.. tofu tastes like.. well.. tofu.

    i dont know..

before i was vegetarian i knew a small part of the food chain, the things i chose when i ate out where pretty narrow and there were a hell of a lot of things i would never had tried. this was partly due to my upbringing and the choices my parents made regarding food (meat and 3 veg nuclear family)

but becoming vegetarian i discovered a very large section of food i had never even considered before.. and that was because all of a sudden, the things i relied on the most as food, were not available anymore.

Eggplant, artichokes, Zucchini, Chickpeas, Lentils.. fuck.. Indian food, Thai Food, Japanese food (although i have to admit, Japanese is pretty restrictive for vegetarians)

I am generally pretty unhealthy .. i am overweight and i eat way too much pizza and crap to be considered a healthy vegetarian.. but i am a vegetarian. i dont eat meat. i dont eat fish. hell, i dont even eat yogurt..
