I quite like it. Yes the wii had something similar but only on certain games and not to the extent he means.
The console could be named after an imaginary world. When you buy it you create a character within that world. The world then contains many games that perhaps all follow an overral narrative - e.g. save the world.
Its a winner. All played online with millions of other citziens of the world.
I'm getting quite wet.
