^the movie record limit is due to tax dodging iirc.
if a camera can record more than 29 min 59 secs it is classed as a video camera and subject to more / a different tax bracket. which is why so many stop at 29:59.
Im sure some hack firmware like magic lantern removes this restriction though.
I know some dslr's like the sont SLT (a55, a33,a77,a99 etc) suffer from sensor overheat for long filming periods.
I dont think the canon sensor do. Im sure some qbners will though. I think Autoflavor + miguex use canon for video work, Moldero is a video man too but I think uses big rig video cameras.
