I grew up not too far from there, have all my family very close too...
This is just sickening.
Honestly, I'd be fine with 6 months of martial law and every single gun out there be confiscated. Every single one, legal, illegal, doesn't matter.
People will not change. We were born to hate/love/kill/die. Given the right circumstances we are all capable of horrible things. At least if guns are gone we'd get rid of 99% of the senseless massacres.
Impossible, of course, but damn, something has to be done about the easy access to massive destruction and death.
