As a Father (15 month old) and an owner of multiple firearms I don't honestly think the answer is less guns.

The real answer is educating people about firearm safety and violence. The reality of our sad world is that guns are going to get into the hands who have no business handling them. Also, If you believe we live in a utopia where there are no crazy people and they don't have access to firearms then i feel sorry for you.

I think that part of the problem starts with education people about firearms safety and gun violence in our culture. Educate your child on how to use and intelligently defend themselves with a firearm, the effects of gun violence, and etc.

While this is by no means a definitive answer I think it's imperative we start to discourse about firearms intelligently with the understanding that firearms are pervasive and easily obtained in western cultures (particularly America). You can't just say "ban all firearms" or "ban all ammo" or whatever... because I truly believe it's not going to solve the problem.

    • Part of the problem also lies with my proofreading and shitty grammar.d_rek
