single whisky (whiskey is American or Irish, whisky is Scottish) dilute with a little water; about a tablespoon. Do not use ice, as this effectively chill filters your drink. Drink it straight though once you are used to the intense flavours. I would start on a light/delicate single malt like Dalwhinnie 15. Then move up towards the fruity, they spicy then smoky/peaty. The top of the tree will be Laguvulin or Talisker distillers edition. Do not pay stupid prices for a single malt, that is moronic - just order a bourbon instead.
