  So was Scott a christian? Do most religions use the symbol of water as rebirth? Was the engineer falling into the water a plan for the black tar to migrate to other creatures in the water to create new hybrid alien off-spring?

  What was the time frame of the alien falling into the water to Prometheus landing on planet?

  Most of the movie was bad but by Scott planting this in the beginning opens too many cans of worms for me :)
