Since this is about the tenth time you've brought it up, a clarification on 100-round magazines: They are toys. Unreliable pieces of junk. We're fortunate that the asshole that shot up that theater didn't know this. Had he relied on standard magazines, his rifle likely wouldn't have jammed.

Also, "100% survival rate for home invasions"? By its very definition, home invasions are violent attacks against the occupiers.

    • Actually, had he relied on a standard magazine, he would have only gotten 10 shots off.CanHasQBN
    • But obviously he got MANY more shots off by using the 100 round mag.CanHasQBN
    • Whether they are unreliable or not doesn't matter. What's your excuse when they ARE reliable?CanHasQBN
    • I didn't write the 100% survival rate thing btw, so I can't give you an answer on what the writer meant.CanHasQBN
    • You can carry more than one magazine. Second comment wasn't addressing one of your statements.melq
    • I'm not a gun nut, btw (though compared to the average qbner it would seem otherwise); I'm just trying to address factual errors. A lot of misinformation in these gun threads.melq
    • ...factual errors. There is a lot of misinformation in these gun threads.melq
    • To answer your question, I could give a damn about 100-round mags. If it makes you sleep better at night, ban them.melq
    • ...them.melq
    • Yeah, he could carry more than one magazine, but the opportunity comes to stop the shooter when he's CHANGING his magazineCanHasQBN
    • a magazine. That's the whole point of this... the interruption give people a chance to escape and/or tackle the shooter.CanHasQBN
    • shooter.CanHasQBN
    • This will make me sound like a jerk, but, for a guy that posts adamantly about guns, you seem to know very little on the subject.melq
    • ...subject. In this specific instance, changing a magazine takes about half a second. Anyway, I'm done. G'night.melq
    • It probably takes a second under controlled conditions. Not in the dark, with countless distractions, and jumpy nerves.CanHasQBN
    • Besides, all you really need is about 1-2 seconds to jump on a guy.CanHasQBN
