3rd party ability to fix cracked / scuffed / scraped iphone glass is being cracked-down upon by Apple...
... I went to a local 'Apple Authorized' dealer / repair shop last week to have my Mac fixed. As I walked in the store I saw they had a wrapped vehicle out front (as a billboard) and on the back in massive letters was 'we fix cracked iphones'...
... so I asked about it and the guy went on to tell me that they have to remove the advertising on their vehicle ASAP as Apple told them they're not allowed to 'fix' iPhones anymore and that they're only accepting 'replacement phone orders' (min $200) from this point on...
...3 weeks ago - the cost to fix the scrape on my phone: $25...
Fuck you, Apple.
