I can vouch for a lot of lurking Design/UX/and Producer girls out there. They lurk more than they participate in conversations but they're still there. Don't be so lazy man you're outing yourself in a forum she'll likely find.

I'd say keep your true thirst levels under wraps and do what you want if you can muster up a little more swag (for lack of a better term). If you really think you cant be cool dating someone in the office means someone has to quit when the relationship dissolves. It might be her, but it might be you -- so be prepared for that. You've got to be able to handle a person who could possibly not separate work and pleasure. And if you get on with those Shades of Grey style romantic trysts in the office you can guarantee that might be hard for her (or you). It's hard not to clique up like a couple when you're dating and working in the same place with lunches and social type crap so be ready for that. Let it be known that tech girls are too good at computer sleuthing and girls hate the thirst (even tech girls). I'd categorize getting dating advice from a forum kind of a thirsty move so you should probably retire that strategy for life. (I love the word thirst -- paints an appropriate picture dunnit?)

But here's some advice from a girl. Dial it way back and she'll be chasing down your D in no time.

    • what is all this thirsty shit you keep talking aboutscarabin
    • im pretty sure you get it. you're thirsty to get a reaction from me every time i post anything.shellie
