It's so priceless that there was noone frisking the visitors down, and no protective panel in front of the painting? The museums stupidity allowed this to happen so oh well. Something tells me they'll make some changes now, and it shouldn't have taken the destruction of something so important for that to happen.

    • The Met has priceless Van Goghs just sitting out, with no protection whatsoever. Just a barrier.monospaced
    • like, a string about a foot around them, maybe lessmonospaced
    • All museums are like this. You've never been to a museum?randomname
    • All Picasso paintings are priceless. This one isn't a masterpiece.randomname
    • Um yeah the last time I saw the declaration of independence, it was kinda well protected n stuff.CygnusZero4
    • That would also disintergrate if it weren't. 99% of stuff isn't protected. Come on.randomname
    • And how much could it cost to put a protective panel in a picture frame? That painting was priceless.CygnusZero4
    • Now it's useless. No painting of any real value or importance should be exposed like this.CygnusZero4
    • What importance? It's just a painting.raf
    • Paintings under glass look like shit. They just turn into mirrors. Look at how shitty Francis Bacon's look in galleries.boobs
    • Priceless paintings need to be protected. Dont give a shit what anyone thinks about that.CygnusZero4
    • Something of extreme value was just fucking spray painted! That should be impossible IMO.CygnusZero4
