Just got the news a friend of mine in the bay area just died on the same road where I watched 2 other friends die in my rear view and almost died myself low siding due to a tank slapper coming out of a corner hot at about 110 mph (new untested bike pre-steering damper) about a decade ago. slid on my back about a 1/4 mile in the other (oncoming) traffic lane, full leathers, and luckily no cars, just picked the bike back up, un-flooded the engine and rode off. as my motor started up again, the guy I was "racing" finally caught up to me. great and very lucky times for me, unfortunately, for Gary yesterday, he wasnt so lucky and his tank slapper did not end well.
R.I.P. Gary Jaehne, you were a fucking legend man.
