"Do things properly or don't bother doing them at all".
For full on development at an advanced stage of knowledge - sure.
But for someone looking to dip their toe in the water, someone without any experience whatsoever? That's a bit of a thoughtless, self-congratulatory response.
I'm only saying this because i've been asked to 'dev an app' that's outwardly really quite simple, but I've got Zero frame of reference, so don't mind going the idiot's route.
It's a path well-travelled.
