Hollywood is a no for living. Lots of nicer places in LA. Silver Lake has pockets of nice and pockets of sketch. Atwater Village is just east of Silver Lake/ Los Feliz, it's nice and can be a little cheaper but you're closer to Glendale. I just started a new job in Santa Monica and I think I'm in love. It's gorgeous, clean, nice weather everyday. Inland can get really, really HOT for most of the year. Make sure your place has central A/C as most do not. Only downside with SM is the cost of apartment/homes. Culver City is nice too but the rents are moving up.

    • yeah, if you work in sm but live in hollywood, the drive is on a stand still.akrok
    • I live in La Crescenta and it's pretty brutal. I'm able to do flex hours, so it's bearable. In at 11, leave at 7.Chief
