I would recommend typekit over fonts.com

Yes, fonts.com has WAY more fonts - but very few of them are actually suitable for the web. Typekit, has a smaller selection - and less well known typefaces but you can do really beautiful things with what they have - and they are more likely to play nice across platforms.

Additionally fonts.com has maybe the worst possible way of setting up projects I've ever seen. If you don't set it up just so it breaks. If you do go with it, make sure to do browser testing in a few windows environment.

    • It's possible I exagerated on the project set up. It is pretty awful though.jtb26
