most new tvs have HDMI , your computer or laptop should have hdmi , just go hdmi from computer to tv
i had a set up witha mac book but had to get the miniDVi converter , my TV had a DVI in so I just went miniDVI to DVI , had no audio unless I plugged in my computer speakers , then I used the IPad remote keyboard app and just sat on the couch and used the ipad as keys and mouse, i gamed it up mainly
