Not sure it will help but you can try restarting your mac and holding the command + S keys after the boot sound.
That will bring you to single user mode, there type "fsck -f" without the " " and with the space, then enter. It will check and repair system files that might be damaged.
Wait for the check to be done, that can take up to 2 min.
If you get a message saying errors have been found etc, type fsck -f again until you get a message saying "OS X appears to be OK".Then type reboot and press enter to restart.
