    There are a bunch of links to 3d printing and prototyping.

    Overlapping geometry is a pretty big challenge to overcome. What it looks like on screen and what it needs to look like to be "prototyped" or 3d printed is a big step.

    You might want to go to a school nearby that has an industrial design program and have them bring the artwork into a CAD program.

    I did the school route with some motorcycle parts and it came out great.

    Good luck! One of the most rewarding things ever is the day the proto shows up!!
